About us - the story of a guy with a passion (some would say a compulsion)

All little boys have tinkered with their bicycles, 2 wheeled vehicles became an obsession for Joel.   From riding his Dads Harley down Ashland St. with a helmet on so the cops couldn't see he was only 13.  Joel has owned so many bikes over the years that it is almost impossible to keep track.  We added a third stall to the garage so he could store his 1969 AMC - AMX.  Needless to say, the car was sold and the garage quickly filled up with as many as 15 scooters (see list below) and motorcycles.  Starting a scooter shop was the next logical step and I was easy to persuade.

Below is a list I've compiled.  For the most part it is chronological

1. 1974 Harley Davidson S90 - All I remember about this one is that it ended up starting on fire.  Thank you Allouez Fire Department!

2. 1975 Kawasaki KZ400 - First bike I crashed and ended up in the hospital but managed to pole vault 3 days later.

3. 1980 Yamaha 400 Special - I drove this one up to Door County with Yvonne on the back.  I still don't think her mom knows.

4. 1983 Honda GL650 Silverwing - Nice bike, I should have kept it.  But I just had to have the AMX.  It was SOOOO fast!

5. 1975 Yamaha XS650 no comment

6. 1979 Yamaha RD400F Daytona Special  - Man do I regret selling it.  Needed money for our wedding.  I am currently looking for a nice one - the bike that is!

7. 1993 Harley Davidson Sportster - This was supposed to help me forget about the RD400.  Didn't work - see #6.

8. O.K here it gets a little fuzzy as to what came next.  As mentioned earlier I sold the AMX and vowed to "fill the garage with scooters" so the list goes like this.
